One night, after a showcase Aldean met with Lawrence Mathis, who signed on as his supervisor. That is where Jason determined he'd give himself move back to Georgia, or to get a record deal.
The tune went to become his first Top 10 single. Michael Knox, who'd stayed from the days when they first met when he worked with Warner Chappell publishing made the record.

Aldean's second record was entitled Relentless. The title track was final and the third single to be released in the record. It peaked at No. 15 on the graphs.
Before in the year, a live concert was recorded by Aldean before a sold out crowd which will be released as a live DVD after in 2009.
